All roles are independent contractor (W-9) positions with per-assignment rates.
ASL Interpreters
On-site assignments across the Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia region plus remote VRI nationwide.
- RID certification preferred; qualified interpreters considered after screening
- Medical, education/IEP, legal, government, and business settings
- CDI teaming opportunities on qualifying assignments
Spoken Language Interpreters
On-site and remote OPI/VRI work across 60+ languages — Spanish in especially high demand.
- Professional interpreting experience in community, medical, or legal settings
- Bilingual proficiency verified through our screening process
- Court or medical certification a plus, not required for all settings
CART Providers
Real-time captioning for meetings, classes, events, and broadcasts — on-site and remote.
- Professional CART/stenographic captioning experience
- Own equipment and captioning software
- Remote delivery capability for virtual events
Document Translators
Certified translation of legal, medical, academic, and immigration documents.
- Native-level proficiency in source and target languages
- Experience producing certified translations (USCIS and court accepted)
- Subject-matter specialization welcome

Do I need RID certification to join the network?
RID-certified ASL interpreters are always in demand and receive priority for legal and high-stakes assignments. Qualified interpreters without national certification are also considered — every applicant completes our video screening so we can evaluate skills directly and match you to appropriate settings.
Do I need a Maryland interpreter license right now?
No. Maryland's Sign Language Interpreters Act licensure program is currently on hold, and no applications are open. We monitor the timeline closely and will guide our network through any requirements when the program resumes.
How does pay work?
Interpreters work as independent contractors (W-9). Rates are set per assignment based on setting, credentials, and timing, and are confirmed before you accept. Invoicing runs through our platform, and we pay promptly — no chasing checks.
Can I work remotely?
Yes. VRI and OPI assignments can be covered from anywhere in the United States with a reliable connection and a professional setup. On-site work is concentrated in Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia.
What kinds of assignments will I see?
Medical appointments, IEP meetings and classroom support, court and attorney meetings, government hearings, business meetings, community events, and on-demand VRI/OPI sessions. You choose which assignments to accept — there are no minimums.
What happens after I apply?
Our team reviews your application and invites you to a video screening. After screening, you'll complete onboarding — including our HIPAA-trained and FERPA-trained compliance modules — and can begin accepting assignments.
